1. How to Request Account Deletion

To request deletion of your Rant & Rave account, send an email to contact@rantraveapp.com from the email address associated with your account. You can use the form below to generate a pre-filled email.

Alternatively, you can send an email manually with the following details:

• To: contact@rantraveapp.com
• Subject: Account Deletion Request
• Body: Include the email address associated with your account and a clear statement that you wish to delete your account.

2. Verification

To protect your account, we may need to verify your identity before processing your deletion request. Sending the request from the email address associated with your account helps us confirm ownership. We may follow up with additional verification questions if necessary.

3. What Data Is Deleted

When your account deletion request is processed, we will delete or anonymize the following data associated with your account:

• Account information (name, email address, date of birth)
• Profile details (display name, bio, profile photo)
• Reviews, ratings, and comments you have submitted
• Photos and other media you have uploaded
• Social connections, follows, and interactions within the platform
• Location data associated with your account
• Device and usage information tied to your account

Your account will no longer be accessible, and your public profile and content will be removed from the Service.

4. What Data May Be Retained

In limited circumstances, we may retain certain information after account deletion, including:

• Legal and regulatory obligations: Information we are required to keep to comply with applicable law, tax, accounting, or audit requirements.
• Dispute resolution and enforcement: Information needed to resolve disputes, enforce our Terms of Service, or prevent fraud, abuse, or harm.
• Aggregated or anonymized data: Information that has been aggregated or anonymized so it can no longer be associated with you may be retained indefinitely for analytics and product improvement.
• Shared or reposted content: Content that has been shared, reposted, or referenced by other users may continue to exist independently of your account.
• Backup systems: Residual copies may remain in our secure backup systems for a limited time before being overwritten in the normal course of business.

5. Retention Period

After we verify your request, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days. Data retained for legal, regulatory, or legitimate business purposes (as described above) will be kept only for as long as necessary to fulfill those purposes, and will then be deleted or anonymized. Residual copies in encrypted backups are typically purged within 90 days.

6. After Deletion

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Once your account is deleted, you will lose access to all data, reviews, ratings, photos, and other content associated with it. If you wish to use Rant & Rave again in the future, you will need to create a new account.
